There are plenty of songs about being on top of the world, being in the right place at the right time, and having things fall into place.
I wanted a dance song about the frustrations of swimming against the current, how it feels when you realize you've been trying for something that you're not supposed to have. Originally inspired from Peter Gabriel and Angra melodies, the Plan has evolved a lot over the years...

Peel the flesh upon your skin away and you reveal the burning fire. Caught and spun around. A headless torso, with inhibitions. Another stupid motherfucker in the plan.
